Antoine Berberich-Martini
I’m a young German racing driver from Heilbronn who began his professional motorsport career in 2025.
I first got behind the wheel of a go-kart at the age of five – full of passion and natural talent. But an accident forced me to take a break early on: At the age of nine, I had to step away from motorsport for six years.
At 15, I made my comeback – a fresh start on the racetrack. Since then, I’ve been fully committed to pursuing my motorsport career. I’m now 18 years old and more determined than ever.
I race with Mertel Motorsport, a team based in Nuremberg, and compete in the GT Cup Open Europe at the wheel of a Ferrari 296 Challenge.
At my debut race weekend in Portimão, I delivered a solid performance — a promising start to my GT racing journey.
In May 2025, I finished 8th overall at the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit and achieved a podium finish with 3rd place in the Silver category — a strong result on one of the most demanding tracks in Europe.
I was also able to prove my abilities at the following race weekend in Hockenheim: After a strong qualifying session, I started from the front row. However, a tire
failure forced me to the very back of the grid before the race even began. In the race, I fought my way forward with full determination, overtaking one car after another – and was ultimately rewarded with a third-place finish.
Before moving into GT racing, I gained valuable experience in the DMV BMW 318ti Cup, where I showed my potential — including a 16th-place finish in Race 2 at the Nürburgring in 2024.
Motorsport runs in my blood: my father, Ulrich “Uli” Berberich-Martini, was active in various GT and historic racing series throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
